F2 for beginners

Hello chaps

I am a refugee from the land of SET so please forgive the naive question..I'm an absolute newby with SS.

I want to build an F2 for my fostex folded voigts just to see what all the fuss is about. I have read the background on the F1 service manual and tried to understand the circuit that Nelson kindly supplied in the clone thread, BUT............

I can't see a +out on the diagram and as the ps is floating vis chassis via the thermistors, i couldn't make sense of it.

Can anybody enlighten me on this please.

Since the circuit is inverting, the + output is ground and the
- output is the active output. Hook up the speaker that way
and it will work as intended.

Is there actually a difference as long as both speakers are connected equally (- to + or vice versa)?

Yes. It's subtle enough that most people don't notice or care, but it's there. It's most noticeable on something like a bass drum.
