Hi, what are the best power mosfet for aleph 30 between these alternative?
IRFP244 IRFP240 IRFP044N IRFP044N seems good for their high transconductance, but i'm not so expert. (in english also!!) What meens the final "N"? |

The IRFP044 is trending towards risky given the voltages involved. Assuming that I haven't slipped a cog, that's a 60V part. Running full-tilt-boogie, you're going to be approaching 40-45V on peaks.
Now that I've made my plea for sanity, and in the interests of full disclosure, I will confess that I am running an Aleph 3 with IRFP044s. So far I haven't popped anything, but then it's my tweeter amp, so there's just not a lot of voltage swing involved. Grey |
