BOSOZ as low pass filter

Can I turn a channel of a BOSOZ preamp into a one pole low pass filter?? For various reasons this would be convenient, as apposed to an RC network down stream from the BOSOZ.

or an active filter diy project from the boss him self......cann't wait to get started on a project like that

A simple resistor with a capacitor to ground at the input
would do it. The resistor can be fairly high in value, as the
input capacitance of the Mosfet is the only load to speak of.

I have the volume control in front of the preamp...would that interact with the capacitor??

With the RC network, the critical frequency fc=1/(6.28RC).
So, R value is variable, the fc value is also getting variable.
I would replace the input volume with an output volume.

Clever enough would mean putting the filter before the
volume control so that the changing source impedance of the
volume control will not affect the filter much.
