Hi
I read in the articles page of the Passdiy website that Nelson Pass likes these drivers. However they are rather low sensitivity( 88-90 dB per w-m) My question is - would a Zenv9 be up to driving these speakers for classical music. The speaker would be a TL in a fairly small (10'X22') room. Does anybody else have a suggestion?
Thanks

ZV9 is a feedback design, and that's how it manages .003%
distortion (best case :) ). You can build it without feedback,
but you have to lower the gain someway, and it quickly becomes
a different amp, with much higher distortion and no damping
factor.

Since the Jordan likes a damping factor (and lower distortion...)
this would be the recommended approach.

Input to Z9

Hi again,
I would, if possible, like to drive the z9 with a middle of the road CD player (Rotel 1072). Is the output impedence of the rotel good enough to drive the Z9? Do I need to also build a line stage preamp? Dumb questions I know, but i am wondering if I would be better off to plan ahead for the future and figure out a way to play cd's (or WAV files or ?) to a D/A box via USB from my laptop, or just a simple linestage or Sugestions please.
