Talking X-BoSoZ Xmass present

Just a day late but merry xmass to each and all - and a happy new year to come.

I just completed and fired up my X-BoSoZ - which is now the proud bride of Mr.Aleph30 [BoA] ??
Aleph30 - My 1st time.

Unfortunately I did not 1st build std. BoSoZ as planned because of using stripboard and the hassle of removing and rerouting jumpers (always a pain with stripboard). Anyway I did compare to org. setup which was CD player direct to A30. I use unbal. IN, bal. OUT. Only deffinate differance I can tell is that A30 got more - deeper base now and are sligthly more crisp - if you can imagine crisp , and now I have full range vol. control - loud enough at least.

Here are couple of pics.

Well done,

Is that a TDK attenuator?,

Does it have an active current source (simple FET type)?

I will also look at the X mod to my BOSOZ over the weekend.

regards

Macka

Thanx for all the compliments.
I use 2 x stereo pots, Alpha - 10kohm, which I ganged for 1 axis. This was the best I could do with local components. After reading the tests done by Henrik, (x soz) , I decided not to use any CCS, but just ground -IN on the earth lug of the input RCA plug. My PSU gives a nice 60.5V on the rails, as recommended by the himself.

Thanx again to Henrik, Ralf and the other X-BoSoZ developers for all your time, effort and advice on designing this circuit. Guys like you and the others with the same abilitys , give guys like myself and others with the same disabilities realy alot of pleasure and fun
