BOSUZ Hum

I have just completed my BOSUZ built on purpose built PCBs with 2 torroidal transformers and a thyristor to connect circuit ground to chassis ground ( at the same place). Unfortunately I get a fairly loud and identical hum from both channels with no sources connected and with a CD player connected. The hum is constant and does not vary with volume. With a CD playing the music drowns the hum at 1/2 volume and there appears to be no/little distortion. Help please!

You may have a ground loop or perhaps your signal ground is connected to earth ground? A schematic is helpful that shows how the grounds are wired.

Do a search on this forum for ground loops, you may find your answer.
