I want to build Aleph P-1.7 preamp, I ordered boards from Kristijan K., and now I need attenuator.
Original one have 256 positions on 8 relais, I dont need that much, I wood be happy with 5 relais and 32 positions, friend of mine will made for me volume control with PIC micro., but I must do attenuator board, and I need help, is there way to calculate best value of resistor on each relai, and switching order, if it is possible on just 5 relais, P1.0 hawe 6 relais and 64 positions, but I dont know switching order...... Sorry for my bad English.... |

Hi Pinco,
There are several possibilities. Check out this old thread, there is a spreadsheet at the end to calculate your resistors. I used this spreadsheet for my P1.7 together with control boards from Dantimax. Go for a total resistor value of 2K. Greetings, Harry |
