I have decided to build a double Zen + a Bride.
So, I have two custom circuit boards etched and populated by me. They comprise the constant current source and the signal amplifier sections of the amp (2/3 of the Zen Revisited). The MOSFETs were mounted to the heat sinks and hard wired to these boards. But, I fried them. The amp still works, but it produces a little static. I used all premium parts, all rated higher than Pass says. I'll replace the R11 with the right one, so you don't fry yours too. I estimate the value of these boards to me is about $50 in parts. So, if someone offers me $30, they're yours. Otherwise, I'll just use them in my new amp. So, don't offer too much less than that. The only reason I'm considering selling is to make my new amp neater with only one board for both amps. pixie |
