BOZ output impedance

Hi,

what would happen, if I use an output pot with 300 Ohm resistance with
the BOZ ?
Background: I have a (very nice, high precision, perfectly shielded ... I like it ;-)
stepped attenuator with about 300 Ohms resistance.

I just tried and my impression was that it sounded not bad but I had the
impression that it lost dynamics a (little) bit .....

At the moment I'm a bit confused, tried to think over it with no results,
maybe it's just too late ;-)

What is your drain resistor? You are throwing some voltage gain just having the 300ohm pot in the circuit. The question is "How much?"

If you still like the sound, though, no big deal.

I do think that might be a bit low - quite a bit of gain will go away
with it, but it will work, the question is whether the sound will
be optimal. Probably not, and you can't boost the output by
feeding more input, as you will likely overload the input.
