Balanced(bridged) Zen Ver.4

Hi there,

I intend to build a balanced(bridged) version of Zen Ver.4, but am not sure how to set the input impedance up:
- can I remove R2, R3 and C12 and replace them with a single resistor to ground (e.g. 47k)
- or can I use an arrangement similar to the one employed with the Aleph amps

All this considering that two Zens will be working in parallel, sharing a common ground.

Hello Stan,

You can use the schematic shown at:
http://web.vip.hr/pcb-design.vip/zen-v4b.html

I tested the circuit, and it is working fine.

In balanced operation, connect the speaker
between C - D therminals.
The output capacitors leave in the circuit, because
of the proper feedback.

Thank you for the prompt reply Kristijan, I'll follow the advice.

BTW, when do you think the PCBs for this particular Zen implementation will be available - it will be much easier for people like me to build it on quality PCBs.
