Ahhh, I envision a work day that starts at 10:30 - mandatory dress code
of Hawaiian shirts and sandals. Read E-mails and surf the web until noon
when Nelson breaks out a bottle or two of Chardonay.

Spend several hours auditioning the finest music on a newly built XA,
and discussing the latest offerings from TAD or Fostex.

Leave at 2:30 or so, with a stop at the bank because the paycheck is so
big that the Fed wont allow direct deposit.

If only I could escape from the salt mine I am in....

ps.most important facts in my scifi resume can be excellent knowledge of Zen and mcycle maintenance and enormous amount of passion involved in my audio gadgets;
knowledge? who cares about that?

I wonder if my work in a power plant would qualify me for the job.

I get to fix a piece of equipment which changes 3 phase 600 V into a 200VDC, 3000A power supply. That should be about enough for a Zen.

Well, Just what does a Pass Labs Tech do??? Is production actually at this facility? What facility? Or is it R&D, building up and testing the 100s of Zen Permeations for the boss to play with? Or are they working on the next X generation? Does a Pass Tech refurbish the classic older products for many more years of enjoyable listening? Or are Pass Techs respoinsible for all those performance graphs? Or do they work covertly, investigating the competition, looking for patent infringment?
Just what does a Pass Labs Tech do?

It's mostly production testing, repair, and some R&D
opportunities. I happen to be doing the amplifiers myself
presently, and Wayne is doing the preamps, but as the volume
increases we are not left with adequate time to do the other
stuff.

Since Pass Labs product "never" breaks down, I wonder why hire a technician.

The quality of production testing is a major component of
product reliability.
