I'm just finishing a 1.7 clone.
I put the regulated supply and the first C of the C-R-C filter in the
power supply chassis. The reason for that is the umbilical will be exposed
to noise in the environment and I wanted it to be filtered by the RC.
I also put a ferrite filter at the amp chassis end of the umbilical to cut
down on the RF noise between the chassis.

While we're on this, I wanted to find some metallic sheathing
material for my umbilical but I never did find anything. I wanted the
umbilical to be beasically immune to RF noise outside the chassis.

Hi Wayne,

Check this out:
magnetic shielding for cable

On the end of the URL you can find a braided sleeving, that fits over your prefered cable.

I did not use it myself, but had great results using the MuMetal in my ONO.

Greetings,
Harry
