Hello to all, hello Mr. Pass,
on Audiogon I found a used X 250.5 and a used X 350.5
Pass Labs power amplifier offered by a dealer. The devices
were operated at 110 VAC 60 Hz.
Today I run a Pass X 250, might want to upgrade to .5 but
would need to operate them at 220/230 VAC 50 Hz.
My complete system works at that voltage.
I read in some earlier posts here (I think even one was
from Mr. Pass) that you must only change some jumper
settings and a fuse to operate them with different voltage,
but I think to remember, that this answer was related to
the earlier X250.0 model.
Is this still valid fo the newer X.5 series ?
Could someone please help me with this question ?
Thanks in advance for your time.
Regards

Alternatively I would appreciate any hints how you could
retrofit the improved HF/RF filtering of the newer .5 X-series
to my "older" X250.
- which parts ?
- can I order them from Mr. Pass ?
- how to install them properly ?
I ask this, because my system sometimes sounds
a little to harsh or let´s say VERY honest with bad
recordings.
Many thanks in advance for ANY hint related
to reducing "honesty" to make a Pass X1/X250 combo
a little more foregivable.
Many thanks ain advance.

Dear Nelson,
thanks for your superfast reply.
Could I contact someone of the factory via email,
who would provide me with the particular part of
the circuit diagram, so I could safely re-tab the
primaries of the transformer to the right 220/230 VAC
coils ? Or is this unmistakable, because there is only
one coil for each + and - left, to which I would have to
re-tab the primaries ?
Thanks again.
