Ross, in your opinion does it make sense to use this circuit for a buffer with both input and output unbalanced? (I yet don't understand if it makes sense for X-BOSOZ too...)
Will it be stable at unity gain? In order to use it with OPA1632 something should be added perhaps ("control for common mode offset" Mr. Pass said)?

It would work SE-IN/SE-OUT but it might be a waste since you would not get much benefit from the chip. If you want an SE buffer I would look at something like the "Kookoo" which I design specifically as an SE linestage/buffer for the Joshua Tree (it is designed to stack). I believe OPA1632 should work just fine without any circuit modifications. You just may need to play with the resistor values a little. I will have to dig into the datasheet and see if I can find any clear changes to make. Cheers! Russ

Russ, I have to repeat the question: Do you ever sleep?
I am wondering if this circuit sounds as good as a purebreed Twisted BosoZ?? If this was not in the middle of the fishing season, I would build one right away Very good work, and very kind of you to share the pdf's Just with X'ed chips and mosfets as subjectsSteen

Sorry Russ, I guess I'm OT here, but I couldn't find any schematics of Kookoo (if any had been posted), and couldn't find anything on Twisted Pear either. Can you help me?
NB: "Stacking" on JT sounds very interesting to me.

Hi Guys,
As to the library I will share it here shortly. Here is the link to the KooKoo: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showt...534#post901534 It is also designed to stack with the JT.

Hey Russ,
Excellent, I was looking like this for a while to feed mine UcD's. Just curious, does the Joshua Tree comes at the input or the output of the Sibling? Do you have an estimate for the costs? Gr, Bastiaan |
