I had a few spare hours over the last couple of days, and so I've put together a parts list for the ZV9 with a BOZ front end.
This is my first electronics project for about 15 years, so I'd appreciate knowing any mistakes or any discussion into whether these choices are appropriate. I've generally tried to go for straightforward parts, opening up the option of later upgrades. I'm planning to order transformers from www.antrimtransformers.com and have got a couple of nice heatsinks of ebay. Part codes are from digikey - I'll be placing the order once I know the timing on the JFETs from Steen. I'm happy to add this partlist to the wiki later on if that is an appropriate thing to do. Don't you need to have matching MOSFET's ? If yes you need to order more than 6.

I was going to order some extra mosfets and jfets in case of catastrophic wiring errors. But as each of the mosfets serves a different function (regulate/ aleph source/ cascode) and there are no back-to-back pairs, my take is that I don't need to match them.
Please correct me if I'm wrong! Steve |
