I am building a two-way loudspeaker system with an active crossover; hence, the drivers will be directly coupled to the amp. The drivers are both 16-Ohm. Can an Aleph 3 and/or an Aleph 30 handle a 16-Ohm load? What are the consequences relative to the more conventional 8-Ohm load?
Thanks for your help, ccvogel |

My first thoughts are:
1) an obvious ~50% reduction in power. 2) The option to bias it lower/ = less heat 3) The option to use less output devices (??) I'm thinking maybe an aleph 5 biased down and with less output devices may be better??(in other words, a higher voltage a30 with low bias??) Please note the question marks, others will most likely have a better answer. regards
