volume and aleph 1.7

Hello, I've got some boards with the aleph 1.7 preamp but without the volume control.

I have two questions:
1. has anyone tried a combo of this and a CS3310 or equivalent? and if any what was the results? any recommendations as to having it before or after the amp-boards?

2. Has anyone got a kit or boards for the real volume control from the aleph 1.7? i'm interested in buying some since i do not have the time to do any myself...

I´m using a kit from Mikkel. He programmed for me a special software with gain control. Ask for µC for acaudio. http://electronics.dantimax.dk/Kits/...rds/index.html

The CS3310 and PGA2310/11/20 are essentially in integrated preamp themselves (op-amps and up to +31.5db gain). Seems a little redunant, and will change the character of the 1.7.
