I'm thinking about building a PASS DIY amp, most likely the ZV9. Are there any DIYers in the San Diego area that would like to let me hear their PASS DIY amplifier? I'm rather curious as to how they sound compared to my single-ended, 2A3 amp, an "ultrapath" configuration that I really, really like.
I had the original Zen at my house many years ago, and at that time our listening group felt it had a ways to go in order to favorably compare with other amps we auditioned. Of course, 10 years have now passed and the Zen has come a very long way. I'd love to hear a later version of Zen, or an Aleph or Aleph X setup. I am in central San Diego, will travel SD County for a listen. Please send email to: diogenio "at" yahoo "dot" com, and I will send you my phone number. Thanks, Dennis San Diego, CA |
