Hello!
I am curently building Aleph 5 and I have all the material, except for the capacitors. Here is what I need: 10pF 47nF 220uF/elco I was looking all over the net for the quality capacitors. Where could I find quality capacitors in Europe? Could you write down, witch brand do you use in your Aleph's and where to get them? thx, DJG |

Where do you buy the other parts you need? The parts you are mentioning are pretty generic, and any decent type will do the job.
I used: 10pF=silvered mica (unknown brand) 47nF=polyester film (Rifa MMK) 220uF=50V electrolytic (Elna RJH (the one on the -input I bypassed with a small Rifa MMK)) Hope this helps

Hmm - DJG - I'm a bit confused right now ...
220uF/50V - epcos - you can order them from Bürklin - via Terna; oherwise epcos and nichicon can be bought in IC ... 47nF - WIMA MKP will do the job - again Bürklin and Terna; or for WIMA - Just - if they don't have them on stock - you'll have to wait for few days and thay will supply them ... 10p - hmm - this are the only "hard to find" ones on your list - no idea where in SLO buy silver mica's one ... Except by ordering from the Net ... |

Try http://www.rs-components.com/directory/slovenia.html
I'm not shure if they will deliver to individuals (varies from country to country), but I'm shure you'll find it out from the website. Here in Norway, they don't. But when I was a student, I registered the video-store I worked at (with permission from the boss), and then they would deliver. Good luck!

I always try to get caps from Rifa for my projects. Check out their website, I'm shure you'll find it interesting.

thanks, Mad_K for the info. I will get right on it.
Stabist - I am well aware on the 10pF cap problem. Have you tried www.just.si - they have MKS 4 : 0,047uF/100V. Will this do the job? Best regards, DJG |

Stabist/DJG,
I think the question here was wether the 47 nF WIMA could do the job of the 10 pF cap and in that case I don't think it can. That will affect the high frequency roll-off severely I think. I would recommend to find a 10 pF cap. If nothing else start with a ceramic (gasp...) until you find some better alternative. /UrSv |
