I’m building my aleph 5 as we all know. I have a question I know that you don’t just plug it in you have to power it up using a varaic I have access to a scope and wave generators. My questions is what voltage should I fire the amp up to (per rail.) and where are the test points that I can test to see if I should go further.

I don't know exactly how your front end board is designed, but you can probably check it first and then the whole amp. I slowly bring the variac up from 0V and look at the scope and current draw. If everything goes well, I go up to full rails.

last one,
final preview of the final result. It will not be the final version, but I couldn't wait, so I'll manage with this front panel. It is still missing a kind of base to permit the air to enter the sinks. any ideas? maybe a block of concrete? easy to build and cheap.
