Check it out at the PL website...very elegant looking monoblocks, I miss the top bevel of its bigger brothers though. I wonder if I can afford it

Heard the XA 100 pair last Christmas and it blew me away.
I still have sleepless nights over it! If the XA 60 is just as good but cheaper, might just be my ticket. However, I still prefer the industrial looks of the Alephs, but that's just my opinion. Oh BTW, Merry Christmas & Happy New Year guys! |

As good as they look in pictures, they look even
better up close. I was in HK a couple months back and was wondering around in a mall when I saw a pair of XA160s in a window display of an electronics store. Mighty pretty...too bad they weren't hooked up. (They were using X350.5's in the store I think...) Dennis |

The phrase "No user serviceable parts inside" translates in my mind to read "Go get your screwdriver, bub!"
Perhaps I need new glasses. Around here, all you can find in malls are shoes and cheap cookware. The most advanced electronics you can find are in Radio Shack, which is fine if you're in the market for a boom box masquerading as a robot, but not exactly what I'd call cutting-edge high end audio. On the other hand, Hong Kong has more money than the entire state of South Carolina combined. This is one of the poorest states in the US and it shows in ways both great and small. Depressing. Thank goodness for soldering irons and mail-order parts houses. A little solder and a healthy dose of persistence will get the job done. Grey |

Just don't get a healthy dose of solder.

ive always been curious... what finish is that on the metal? is that powder-coating, or just paint? (the black metal of course) |
