Something that makes the Threshold/Usher thing even more interesting: http://www.threshold-audio.com/S=350eColor-v05sc.pdf
Brillant idea
So Threshold is selling cheap clones of what made them famous once...?Designed in the USA
Handbuilt in China by Threshold International Ltd.
Brillant idea
The Threshold web site only lists a post office box and not a real street address - it could be operated out of someone's garage, or in China.
At least the person using the name probably bought the rights to the designs and to market products using the Threshold name. That's what happened to lots of old audio names.

I did almost the same thing I just asked them if their poweramps are stasis designs, because they look so much like ThresholdI filled out a feedback form on the Usher page asking why their amp offering look so much like Threshold's

each chassis will house 2 UCD400AD's. they are coming along, i give them another week or so...
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
Re: Nice chassi
one of a kind, well, there are two of them. they were custom milled by a friend, then powder-coated. total DIY.

You can put 10 of them in there. It still won't get hot.
Nice, very nice.
Just think, in 15 from now those nice X's will be made in Nepal by Llama Ltd, 5 years later sold for scratch through a US dealer.
Mr P. ,
why not take out the middleman and makes some dinero now, sell me an X for peanuts and change.

Nice, very nice.
the case was intended to be an aleph2 monoblock, but i needed more power than that (inefficient speakers and large room).
i thought about making these 4 channel amps, but i just didnt need that kinda power. even still, a 1.7kva transformer for a pair of UCD400AD's is plenty of power, and they have more than enough weight to them, so they dont float away...
