I've got way too much gain n my system and would like to take some out (maybe 14dB). I figure the most effective way to do that would be to decrease the gain on the Aleph 3. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

I think Aleph 3 would be the last component in your set up to lower the gain in.

I don't know how efficent are your speakers (maybe 105db), but Aleph 3 itself doesn't have high gain. I think it is lower than most average power amps.

Try to lower your gain in your pramplifier at first (if it offers this oportunity), but if you can't do that, use the resistors L-Pad at the input of your preamplifier calculated for desired loss.
