Help with Zen v4 unregulated supply.

Hello all. I've just come down with a bad case of Zenampitis. I've looked at the Zen revisited article and at the Zen v4 article and I have a question. Has anyone built version 4 without the regulated supply? I'll be honest when I say that I don't get the regulated PSU diagram. If I'm not mistaken the Zen amps are supposed to be simple and to the point class A amps. Version 4 is anything but. At least the power supply. I guess my problem is the diagram of the "unregulated power supply example". It looks like the AC hot is connected to ground on the "other ch". Am I the only idiot not to see what the diagram is saying? Any help would be appreciated.
