I was just tooling around a little and stumbled on this device:
http://www.fairchildsemi.com/ds/FQ%2FFQP3P20.pdf Looks like it may be a reasonable alternative to the 9610 in an Aleph to me. All just for kicks..no problem with the IR part of course. Whadya you guys think? Marc
