Hello,
recently I sold (due to the way too low WAF) my DIY Aleph30. The buyer is very satisfied (as the price was a sort of giveaway) and now asked me to make another one. When I asked him the purpose of this secon amplifier he told me that he wanted to bridge them. I told him that, being the Alephs class A amps (and therefore current limited) he would gain almost nothing but he insisted that a friend of him actually uses 2 bridged stock Aleph3 and likes them more than a single one. In the end, what is your opinion about that? Mine is that a Aleph5 or a Aleph2 or a Aleph-X can be a better solution. Cheers Andrea

As the output current is limited, bridging doesn't bring a lot
to the table unless the load is significantly above 8 ohms. If the load is 8 ohms or less, then paralleling channels has a lot of advantages, and is recommended.

Hello Nelson,
Thanks for the confirmation (about the bridging) and for the suggestion (about the paralleling)... I think that now I'm doomed Another question: since I used regular 5% resistors, the possible mismatch between voltage gains can give me troubles? Cheers Andrea

Mr Pass
i dont understand how parallelling amplifiers can be an advantage. Dont you get the same with one heavier amplifier as the A5? Regards Edwin
