I'm about to build an Aleph 3. I saw that the power rating for the amp is 250 watts. and that the PSU supplies a +/- 25 at the output. What size transformer will work for the project and what should the secondary outputs be?

Since the amp draws 250W I wouldn't use a transformer rated less than 500VA...

twin 18 volt secondaries will do a nice job,
and the 500 VA figure is correct. |

Was browsing thru the schematics the other day, was wondering what the SRC and the OUT terminal's for?

I use 500VA toroid - cca 2x23V/5A DC.

The one and only
|
SRC designates the connection to the Source outputs
of the current source on the positive side, and OUT is the actual output to the speaker. They are separated by a small amount of resistance. |
