I'm trying to match it with a dac, and want to make sure I can get as much volume as possible out of the setup... The dac I'm looking at is a bel canto dac 1 (I think it is a 2 volt output) Thanks

Double voltage is 6 dB more, from 1 to 2 volts is 6 dBV, from 2 to 4 is again 6 dbV. From 1 volt to 20 volt is around 26 dB. Input voltage of the Forte 1 (40 watts) was "about" the same. Good thing Mr Pass built your 1A, not you. __________________ Why does it hurt when I Pee ? (Ay Ay Ay https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5fLGWrHouk)
