I ran across this and ordered some for the BOZ I'm finishing up.
This may be helpful to any of you BOZ builders who need this discontinued part. http://tinyurl.com/73zlk Best, KT |

Hi KT
What is make of capacitors, of value 1mfd/100V and 10mfd/100V, you are using for BOZ? I need to know the size of these capacitors. Thanks |

JPS, For the 1uF input caps, I'm using Auricaps. They somewhat longer than the spacing for the input caps, but it's really easy to bend the leads around and under to fit. If you do it this way the caps sit about 1cm above the board. Not a problem at all. For the 10uF output caps, I used a pair of 10uF 100v Elna Cerefine caps. I don't know if they make these anymore. I got them a while ago and then I remember something about Elna discontinuing their higher voltage Cerefines or something like that. On the Pass board, the pads for the 10uF caps are space a bit wide (for film caps, looks like) so the leads are a little longer than the normal radial electrolytic spacing, but it fits on the board fine with the leads kept long. Good luck, KT |

BTW: What output potentiometer value are you using. I built mine w/ Alps 10k, at that time I didnīt find source for Clarostat 5k. Any serious issue here? In advance thanks to all JC |
