Changing Voltage Req from 110V, 60Hz to 220-240V, 50Hz?

Hi all,

Just want to check is it possible to convert the voltage requirement of the Pass Labs X2.5 Preamp from 110V, 60Hz to 220-240V, 50Hz?

Could it be done easily by the owner?

All Pass products made before this year have dual primaries,
which can be re-tapped by any competent technician.

Generally the PC board is marked clearly.

More recently power amplifiers have begun using single
primary transformers, so this will not always apply.

Hello

this seems to be exactly what I was looking for! I fell in love with an X 250 (which a friend bought), and wanted to buy a used X 350 from the USA, but hesitated because of the voltage change.

So, do I understand this right - you have to re-wire the PSU trannies in series to change the voltage to 230 VAC, and everything is well?

And is this what the techs at Pass Labs do for the European units?

Are all Pass products work on both 50/60Hz. I know, all recent products of M... and K... have a monitoring circuit on the a.c frequency and will "block" it to power up if frequency not macth.
