I have a very basic question about the SoZ schematic diagram..
Is the amplifier diagram shown in the SoZ article the complete schematic for both left and right channels or is it for only one of the channels? I'm confused because I see two inputs (+IN, -IN) and two outputs (+OUT, -OUT). I thought these are for left and right in and outs until I read about how people were using 4 IRFP240s in their amps when the schematic called for only 2. This made me think that the schematic was only for one channel and to build the complete amplifier I would have to duplicate the diagram for the second channel. If this diagram is only for one channel, then how do I wire the input jacks and output jacks? Thanks |

The one and only

This is only one channel. The SOZ can operate with
balanced inputs or not, but the outputs have to be balanced and both are used. To operate with a single-ended input, short the unused input, usually the (-) |
