Default pass labs taking to car??

hello guys there, I just sold my car power amp ( smal italian workshop made just 20-30 of them. military circuit, 80 000uf PS, class a, look like aleph 3, and the heatsinks almost the same size as in aleph 5) the sound was awesome.. but it played only 30 minutes when engine is of..

now I would like to built something nice.. of course not zen 1 but something class a like 2x 20-40wats 4ohm load and power comsumption around 100-150w both chanell on idle.

also the bigest question, how I can build/buy dc/dc(?) choke which rise my 12v to needed voltage??

what amp dou you sugest for this? zen v5/6?? aleph 30?
or maybe some nice other design.. ??

thanks a lot..

you probably mean a SMPS.
There are some thread here on SMPS circuitry.
Elektor made an SMPS design for a 200 watts car amplifier they did.
I am using 4 of those for 2 modified 4-channel car amplifiers in my van.

Wouldn't a ZV7 inductor loaded version work quite well off 12V?
Im fairly sure that the Zenitron would.
