Hi!
I am thinking about bying a second hand x250 to use with ML Summit. The panels on these speakers can reach 0.7 ohms. Will this be a problem for the x250? Thanks, Per Øyvind Norway

Are the early x250 the same as the latest versions, or have they been opgraded at one time? From serial number xxxxx for instance?
Thanks again, Per Øyvind

The X250 has been replaced by an update, the 250.5. It's
ability to drive the low impedance of the ML's is about the same. The .7 ohm figure is not a difficulty, as it occurs up about 15 KHz or so, where there is very little actual energy, so we don't see it as a practical problem, as long as an amp is stable into the\ impedance, which the 250 is. |

But all the x250's are identical, right? No matter if it's a2001 or 2004 model? No different versions there besides the x250.5? Maybe some of the members out there know this as well? Thanks again, Per Øyvind

Didn't Mr. Pass just say that there has been no changes in the X250 until the X250.5 came out? Maybe it's just me??

Well just to clarify, there are parts changes made over the
life of an amp, and we tend to incorporate some improvements in a product before releasing an updated piece without changing the topology of the circuit. This makes the product incrementally better or solves problems, and is often a balm to those customers having purchased a product before a revision is released. In the case of the X250, the last year's production had improved transformers, rectifier bridges, and other minor items, but the overall performance remain distinctly X250. The 250.5 included actual topology changes to the circuit and also new handles. |

Thanks a lot, Mr.Pass. I look forward to hooking up the x250 to my not yet arrived ML's
