I'm building a Zen out of pieces i found in my junk box.
Using a BOZ with IRFZ44 for PreAmp and then a modified Zen v4 using IRFP450's. On the bench I tried it with a regulated PSU 32V DC/ 7A per chanel and got quite a bit of hum. It seems to be the PreAmp that induces the hum because when I use a seperate PSU for the BOZ's, the amp is dead quiet. Ground loops? On hand I have alot of 24V/300VA trannies and 33 000uF/70V caps. Do you think I should use 3 regulated PSU's, one per amp and one for the BOZ's or build an other PSU using the 24V/300VA trannies and caps.? Any one that have experiance of both? The regulated PSU's are from Power One with a 'standard' E-core transformer, 3 x 2N3055 driven by a uA723.

Is there no one that has a comment on if I should go with the pre made regulated 32V PSU-units or build an unregulated 35V one ?? Any sugestions would be apriciated!
