Pass Zen regulators - AC filter caps required?

Should the Zen regulator circuits be preceeded by the usual 10,000+ uF AC filter bank? Or, is it not necessary with the regulator? Would the regulator preceeded by the caps and pi filter improve performance, or be problematic for the regulator?

I've shelved the "Experimental Design" for the moment in favor of an X-SOZ and I want to include your regulators from the ZV3 article. I read elsewhere that you may offer the Volksamp-style heatsinks for sale. Sign me up. This things gonna need a lot of 'em.
