Hello!
Some years ago, Pass Labs provided an upgrade of Aleph 1 to Aleph 1.2. I wonder about doing an identical conversion to the last version of the Aleph 0s (eliminating one gain stage): - Is it a doable (simple) operation? - Would the final result be a sort of Aleph 5? - Is it worthy? (would improvement on mids compensate loss in bass control?) Thanks and regards |

The hardware is there, so you only need to replace most
of the front end circuit. Set the output current source for 50 degrees C sink temperature. Don't expect the full 40 watts, but it will swing more into higher impedances. |
