It will have 4 inputs and two outs. Selector will be driven with relays. Attenuator is Alps Blue - 10k. Trannie is a very very good custom made EI with an EM shield.

The circuitry itself is in use for more than half a year now - and it's great preamp! I find it superior to my BoZ - altough BoZ is build with Cerafine's, BG, etc - and AL with more or less standard parts (only 10uF are Wima's MKP).

The chassis outer dimensions are 300x260x100, front and sides are 10mm thick, other plates are 5mm ...

The finish is supposed to be black eloxation - so I gues it will apear (just add two knobs) something similar to this chassis - which is on a good way to become my MC preamp:

Hi Primoz,

These chassis look absolutely gorgeous!

How did you do them?

Uli

@bbakota
- AL as a preamp withhout chassis is in use for around 6months - I like it's performance a lot - just to ilustrate - altough it has only one input (no selector installed) - since the first test my BoZ didn't get the chance to be used again ... I don't now how to describe the difference - but there is ... It matches perfectly with A5 and also with Zen v4.

@uli
I order Al plates cutted to my dimensions - and the rest of it is my inspiration and work ... I must say that working with 1cm thick plates makes thinks much easier!!!! And it's not such a big difference in $$ between 4mm or 1cm ...
AL chassis - the material itself cost around 50Eur! I don't find that expensive ... But ofcourse - there are quite some hours of work in home workshop ...
