Is the Aleph-X a good choice to drive a pair of Magneplanar MMG speakers?
I heard MMGs require a lot of current and their impedance goes down to 4 ohms. Regards. Marco |

No problem. It will work just fine. The Magneplanar designs have an advantage in that their drivers are purely resistive. With that in mind, you're assured that you're not going to get a 1 ohm load at some point in the spectrum. It's not so much that they "require a lot of current"...at least not more than any other 4 ohm speaker, it's that they're only average in efficiency. Nothing wrong with that as long as you have sufficient power to reach the volume you want.
