I would choose Aleph3 - 30W/8R and 60W/4R ...
I also done sound comparison between Zen v4 and A5 (both diy projects) - I like Aleph's sound more ... Instead of BoZ - why not decide for AlephL? |

I never said I prefer A3 more than A30. I just said that if I would be again at my first Pass based project - I would choose for A3 today and not for Zen v4... Power dissipation is very similar - so chassis must be pretty much the same - and that's expensive part. Trannie is the same for both - 400-500VA and ~2x18V secondaries ... OK, there is a slightest difference to buy few more transistors for A3 and few capacitors ... But I prefer Aleph sound more ... OK regarding A30 - it's more like A5 if you ask me - so you need some more $$ to finish it up ... |

I also like the "matching" between A5 and AL more than with A5/BoZ combination ... And again - trannie specs are same in both cases ... You need chassis on both cases; if you decide so make a PCB - it's similar sized in both cases ... I don't think AL costs much much more ... |
