Hello, Does someone have any clue of what that is: THRESHOLD SA/11m? I have found one pair for sale, but can't find any info on the net or on Threshold Audio discontinued products list... Is this list not complete? Is this a special model? Once, someone offered an SA/40, and I thought he was mistaking... It seems it existed indeed? I would appreciate any feedback on the amp. Is it a good bet for a used Threshold? Thanks in advance! |

If they existed, the SA/11 would probably been an
SA10 made for Germany, who was demanding special model #'s at the time in an effort to shut out alternate imports. This is speculation. SA40? Don't know at all. |

I saw the auction on ebay.de of that amp too and it definitely looks like an SA/10e. It is not an SA/12e as the seller thinks if you looks at the output power and list price he is listing. I have a pair of SA/12e's, so I know how they look, and they have 6 heatsinks on each side. This SA/11m has 4 on each side.

Thank you for your informations, Gentlemen!
I did receive a 1990 copy of an old review opposing an Accuphase M-1000 and the SA/11m which was indeed in a german HIFI Magazine... 2x270W@8Ohm and more than 2x500W@4Ohm... Unfortunately, the Accuphase was clearly the winner of the test... Thanks again! |

I would have thought Germany would have desired ##11/s, anything instead of SA.
Anyway, it is a German model , i both read the test and saw the amp face to face. That it did not PASS the Accuphase i do not consider impressive, the German taste favors dynamic behavior. The SA10 has been top of my list for a long time. |
