Newbie here I am looking to upgrade a Forte 1A and need the schematics or at least what and where to buy. Is it possible to find replacement parts? I was told it runs cold so the bias circuitry is shot. I was also thinking of warming it up to 75 watts. Anyone?

I searched the forums for 5 hrs but came up empty handed.

Hi Doc,

in '88 i used one on ESL63's, best budget class A amp at the time.
A minimalist as well ; no output fuses, no isolation coil, and no protection circuitry, just 2 fuses per channel in the powerlines.

I think it used black and green output devices, something like 8 or 10 per channel ?
Those types, Sanken's and Toshiba's, i used later for DIY projects.
The Toshiba's are no longer produced i am told, i still have a number of them.
Should some need to be replaced, send the m.o.

Hi Jacco,
Thanks for the help. I was told I needed to replace the bias pots and maybe the transformer. I found some Toshiba 2SC3281 transistors at www.digikey.com . Time will tell.
