Default Aleph 2 power supply caps question

I am curious about the power supply capacitors for the aleph 2. The manual circuit diagram shows an arrangement of 4 22,000uF but states on the first pages of the manual that there is a total capacitance of 125,000uF. Something does not seem right. What I am wanting to do is replace the 4 caps with 2 caps if that is possible. What value of capacitance would I need...based on the circuit diagram I thought I could just use 2 44,000uF caps, but I am confused about the manual indicating total capacitance of 125,000uF??? Thanks Mike
