Default C7 cap on Aleph5

Okay, probably a dumb question...

In my ongoing Aleph5 project I am disliking the 0.047 uF (or 47 nF) capacitor. Its too big for the KK pcb (where it is numbered C1, I think its C7 on the original layout of mr Pass).

As you can see here the leads are almost touching the resistors.

I now have 47 nF 630 V MKP from Digikey (leads are 20 mm apart). Is it alright to replace them with 250 V MKPs (eg these Wima 's have leads 10 mm apart ). The holes on the PCB are 6 mm apart.

What's best to use here soundwise (and fitting)??

Thanx
Ronald

C7 is there to prevent oscillation IIRC.
No problem for the Wima's, C7 is not in the signal path.
If any, the influence on the sound will be extremely small.

Thank you.

So I could also use MKT instead??
(its a bit hard to find a shop with these small value MKPs and to order them for Gemany is a bit cumbersome, Schuro doesn't alway reply to foreign emails)

Yes, forgot to look there.
Dimensions are 10*16. Standing on a flat side it might fit..

Although its probably too good for this purpose. Unfortunaltely going over does cost more than a drol. I'll ask him to mail it.

edit. damn verzendkosten 10 euro...

I'm using one standing straight up. No problem there. It takes almost no space.

Maybe it is time to just start your car. Fuel is cheaper than poststamps I'm afraid. (I'ts a 20 minute drive from your place?)
