Default Aleph 2 driver PCBs

Hello All,

I'm looking for two Aleph 2 driver PCBs. If anyone has them, I will purchase. Tried searching through the threads but found nothing current.

to_scottg@yahoo.ca

Thanks,
Scott

Kristjan is good people. Quite a few have used his boards to build Alephs. His boards are top notch quality and reasonably priced also.

il add that he is a pleasure to deal with, has great customer service, and offers the best quality PCB's out there. not to mention they arent terribly expensive either. they are quite reasonable IMO.

Gee, I though his boards were over priced. 80.00 for the preamp. I passed.

Jim W.,

You should really get your facts straight if you are going to make a statement. The Aleph P 1.7 board is $52. The Power Supply board is $18. Consider that if you had a set of Gerber files and wanted to get a board made at a foundry it would you well over $100. Group buys are cheaper because 100's of boards are ordered at a time. If there is no group buy available, Kristjan's boards are a varitable bargin when compared to having a board made at a foundry. I don't consider $52 for an Aleph P board expensive considering the high quality of Kristjan's boards. It will cost the original poster about $60 for a pair of Aleph 5 boards.

I agree that the boards are very good quality (EDIT: by the looks of things, see further posts), and it does take alot of hassle from producing the boards.

you may be able to save a little if you get it done at a foundry (even double sided):

at http://www.pcb-pool.com/ for american customers

1 Eurocard (3.9 inches x 6.3 inches)
- doublesided
- plated through
- partial hot air levelling (HAL lead free)
+ Tooling
+ Photoplot

costs only $34, and if its single sided, it works out cheaper.

On the other hand, your design wont be tried and tested. I can personally vouch for the quality of service and product from pcb-pool, I have used them many times in previous projects.

Personally, because I live in the UK, I will be going for the pre-made pcb's for my Aleph 5 because they will work out cheaper (pcb-pool have massive price differences for UK customers!!) and it is also tried and tested.
