Default Need component source for AlephX...

Anyone have a source for the .22Ohm 3W resistors that the Hifizen board schematic calls for?

Or better yet, so I don't have to buy from four distributors, is anyone compiling and selling a set of components?

Thanks in advance.

You can get the Panasonic 3 watt .47 ohm resistors from
Digikey, and parallel 2 of them.

How about in mouser.com and look for this part "71-RS2B-0.25"?

It is 0.25 ohms at 3W and sell for $1.08 per piece.

.2 ohm 3 Watt Dale RS 2B There .20 ea and $15.00/100
Problem is I have a $20.00 minimum order.
Check my website for other items for the Aleph X Amp

Should I be concerned that some of the recommendations are wirewound resistors?

I like Nelson's parallel resistors solution. Probably sound more open and airy that way...

You can go Nelson's route or check Mouser for the Caddock resistors. They are more expensive than the Panasonic parts. When I did the Aleph-X prototype design, I sometimes used single resistors and sometimes parallel ones, depending on how I was trying to torture the circuit that day.
For smaller Aleph-X versions, the Caddocks won't hurt too badly. For larger ones--where you've got lots of output devices--the price mounts quickly. In that case consider using the Panasonic resistors for the MOSFET Sources and Caddock resistors for the output (use the resistance value of all the current sensing array resistors in parallel) and the resistors from outputs to ground. Depending on the number of resistors, it is actually sometimes cheaper to buy one Caddock than a bunch of Panasonics to run in parallel.
