D1 xlr to rca ?

Hi , how to connect xlr to rca ?
1) pin 1 & 3 connect to ground 2 to rca
2) pin 2 connect to ground pin 3 to rca and pin 1 leave it open
better idea ?

It is output and input should be same pin ? as i know D1 xlr = pin1 to ground , pin 2 = pos and pin 3 = neg ! IF we connect to an Aleph 3 via RCA how ?

Japanese and US standards are different. This has been a pain for years.

Assuming that you wish to drive an Aleph 3 single-ended from
a balanced source, usually you would connect pin 1 to ground
and use pin 2 (+) to drive the hot RCA input. I would leave pin 3
open most likely.

If Chris said the Japanese and the US standard are different what happen if we connect it together ? like the AudioNote M10 with Aleph 3 via xlr to xlr , xlr to rca and rca to rca ?
(Btw why not connect pin 1 & 3 together ?)

Speaking from the pro audio standpoint, the usual method used is to connect 1 and 3 together as cold and use 2 as the hot.
