Hi,
as an output stage for an fully balanced mc-riaa I thought to make an differential pair input stage with 2sk389 followed by an x-bosoz like output stage. That arrangement follows the passive riaa network
Would that be clever? An issue might be the complex and freq.-dependent network; can a cascoded 2sk389 stage handle that?
The circuit should be linear between 20 - 40dB (adjustable) gain.
The input stage as 50dB gain, dampened by -20dB passive riaa network.

Any advice?
thanks,
Rüdiger

Hi,
I ran across the complementary stage of Erno Borbely (Figure 7 in linked document ) If I took two of them for balanced operation I should get very high input resistance (~2MOhm) and very low input capacitance (~1pF). That should be perfect conditions to follow a passive RC-Network (Or am I completly off the track?)

OK, this question alters the topic, maybe there are some on-topic hints and ideas?
thanks,
Rüdiger
