Unhappy I don't know why is it in Aleph

Hello,
I'm just trying tu understand topology of Aleph amplifiers (very simple), but there's one thing I don't understand. Two resistors and one transistor marked on attached schematic. It looks to me like current limiter or I don't know what.
Can someone help me?

Thanx
