220uf/25 volt save to use in Aleph5?

Hi,

Is it save to use some Black gate FK 220uF/25 v capicitors in my Alpeh5 instead of 220uF/50V??

They are smaller than the std black gates (12.5 mm versus 15 mm wide), so fit better on the KK pcb

I also happen to have a pair of Elna cerafine 220uF/25 v laying around. Can I use these at the input?

Yep, 25volts will work. Use a Black Gate on the Negative input of the amp. The other 220 is not important to the audio signal.

or use a 6,3V/220muF Black Gate NX for input and active current source. They are even smaller and better.

nö,

the input cap only sees the DC ofset, and the dc voltage on the other one is also very low (0,6-1 volt)

They´re in my Aleph 5 for more than a year now giving nice sonics and no explosions
