hi
i am currently building a passive subwoofer and i need a single channel amplifer to power it. i would like to make it as i like to, does anyone have a simple and i mean simple circuit diagram for a 200w single channel subwoofer amplifier. thanx for any replies |

You should probably post this in the solid state or even chip amp forum. While you can make a Pass clone amp at 200 watts, you are talking about Class A heat, heatsink requirements, and power supply.
Pass does have the X series of amps that are class AB, but are not simple to build. Uli made a board layout you can download in the post "normal x-amp", it's 200 watts, but requires balanced input for best performance. You may be better served with a standard class AB discrete amp, a class B chip amp, or even a class D amp for much higher efficency. |
